Northstar, into which Navman will transition over the coming boat show season, represents over 35 years of high-performance navigation solutions. Its strong marine values will see the legacy of Navman continue well into the future.
Navico Asia Pacific chief operations officer John Scott said that for Navman customers Northstar would be the beginning of an exciting new chapter.
“A tremendous amount of passion and hard work has gone into growing the Navman family of products but the future is now with Northstar,” Mr Scott said.
“This is the transformation of one of our favourite brands and while Northstar is a new name, it’s still the same family.”
The advanced technology, user-friendly features and quality for which Navman is known will be incorporated into all future product ranges under the Northstar label.
Among many other benefits, Mr Scott said the transition of the brands would allow for increased research and development and result in a far greater range of advanced marine electronics.
Manufactured in New Zealand for the past 20 years, Navman products will continue to be distributed by Navico in the Asia Pacific region while stocks last. All existing Navman customers will continue to receive full warranty including extended and enhanced service levels through Navico’s extensive dealer and distribution network.
